Ford Cottage offers self-catering suites with high standards of accommodation and traditional hospitality in Royal Tunbridge.
History
Built circa 1856 on land owned by the Marquis of Abergavenney, Ford Cottage originally served as accommodation for the coachmen and gardeners of the adjacent large estate. Over time, it housed various occupants, including Mrs. Elizabeth Ford, who likely bestowed the cottage with its name.
In its history, Ford Cottage operated as a small market garden with an orchard and greenhouses, featuring a cedar building manufactured in 1937 that remained in use until 2007.
